It’s on it’s way!

Friday 4 January 2013

I am a self-confessed H&M addict. It’s a very sad sad day when I walk out of that store empty handed (luckily these days are few and far between). One day, I’d like to meet the buyers and the designers and give them a high-five for filling my drawers and cupboards over the years for a marginal cost (then I would like to chastise them for their appalling online service). So it’s really no surprise that I love their Spring collection, even if it feels a bit mad looking at things that reveal just an inch of flesh in the middle of an English winter. At this point, I needed hope that it will get warmer and I will be wearing one (if not all) of these outfits below.

Happy weekend all! We made it through the first week of 2013! Woot woot!

  1. The pics look great, but I'm always appalled at how the items look and feel in real life. I think the quality is generally pretty crap (sorry). Don't get me started on their online shop! I tried to buy a piece from the Maison Margiela collection. After over an hour of the site "being too busy" I finally put the piece in my basket and in the short time it took me to get my card out (I know not to carry on browsing) somebody had "stolen" it from my basket and it sold out.... Not impressed by H&M :-(

    1. Totally agree with you about the quality, and some items definitely are hit-or-miss. I have friends who tell me that I am like some kind of “H&M whisperer” as I manage to find great items but they always find tat! I think it also depends on which store you go to (the Regent Street store has some fab goodies). And don't even get me started on their online service...

  4. I feel this way about forever 21 in America. I love the dress paired with that leather jacket. I, too, have started to look at spring campaigns and it seems unbelievable it will ever be warm again. but man I can't wait.

  5. Looking forward to their spring collection. 1st and 7th are my favorite. I usually find something interesting when shopping in H&M Shops here in Dubai. I have never tried their online service though.

  6. I absolutely love H&M as well! Crossing my fingers for a few gift cards for my birthday this month so I can grab some new things for the spring!

  7. I am alawys in awe on some of the pieces people can pull together from H&M. I must lack inspirational cells because everytime I go into a H&M, 90% of the time I left the store empty-handed lol. One of the stores I often leave with something is Zara though. It's probably because our city does not have a Zara so making it special for me to want to at least grab something haha.

  8. i haven't bought much for myself there but i love their children's section, especially for boys (which is all i have) - it's hard to find cute boy clothes that aren't outrageously priced or priced well but covered in baseballs and trains. oh, i wish i were able to pull off that b/w striped dress!

  9. Oh how I love H&M. That leopard blazer and leather jacket need to come live in my closet for a while. :)

  11. Oh how cool is that striped dress and the top? I wish we had an H&M online shop in the US, sometimes I did snag great pieces online in Germany when they already sold out at the store. Do you have the home line in the UK? That's another thing I am missing over here...Have a great weekend!
