Stockholm Street Style

Friday, 5 October 2012

In between typing this post, I am doing a little happy dance (complete with shimmies and aggressive fist pumps all whilst singing 'Good Morning Freedom' by Blue Mink). The reason for my strange behaviour? This time next week... I. will. be. in. STOCKHOLM!! Naturally, I am beside myself as I have long since had a love-affair with all things Swedish - the food, the people, the fashion, the interior design and of course we all know how much I love Ikea! And since Swedish people tend to be stylish just wearing pyjamas, I need to make sure I look the part. We are only checking one bag (damn those pesky budget airlines and their hidden costs) so my packing list has to be fairly versatile. I'm thinking the outfit below would be perfect for both sight-seeing and also for a semi-casual dinner date.

What would you include in your packing list for a visit to Sweden?

  12. i am turning green with envy! living in the united states often evokes a "wha wha" feeling inside me and i am constantly daydreaming of moving abroad. i mean the states has it's good points but traveling is not one of them (especially for westcoasters like me and is the thing i love most next to my kids! i lived in england for a short time years ago and i remember they had these deals on the telly to travel with airfare and hotel included! at prices that wouldn't buy a single economy seat on a plane here. i certainly dream of making such a trip myself someday and i also hope you will post lots of pictures! what else would i take? money! then if you "forget" anything you can just buy it there : ) can't wait to hear all about it! xx

  14. Oh Meghan, I am so jealous - you lucky thing! I would pack lots of money, and an empty suitcase to fill with all the things I buy (although that wouldn't work with your one bag air ticket). Have fun and I can't wait to hear all about it. x
