Since I started blogging I have picked up an alarmingly long DIY/craft list. Realistically, I know I won’t tackle everything on it but I still keep it for a rainy days (of which there are many). I am just about to add another project to this list… upcycling some old doors. On a daily basis, I see Bloggers reupholster ratty chairs into works of art and proclaim: “What? This old thing? I found it just lying in my street!” Well unlucky for me the only thing I ever find in my street is old mattresses and broken office chairs. However, on very rare occasions I come across old doors, not really knowing that to do with them (or more importantly how to get them home without looking like a total loony). Although I can’t solve my loony problem, I have a couple of ideas for the doors.
Great inspiration!
ReplyDeletei like the doors as tables, but how cool are those headboards! also, the bookcase in the last collection is pretty damn cool, too.
ReplyDeleteTee hee! I am so with you on the long DIY list! Love the idea of vintage doors as headboard... looks great.
ReplyDeleteAll of the headboard ones are making me so dizzy with envy. I love the first and the fourth ones. Restoration Hardware can do no wrong in my eyes. Damn them for being so expensive!
ReplyDeleteI just love the idea of a door as a headboard! Great inspiration!

Emily Henderson is the best at finding old chairs and turning them into something divine! I love the idea of an old door on trestle legs for a table. x
ReplyDeleteYou know I saw something similar on Pinterest and thought hmmm I don't if I would do that. But it is rather unique and interesting. I especially love the idea of using them as headboards. Something to think about :)
