Monday Snoop – a Tanzanian hideaway…

Monday, 29 April 2013

And so begins another week. My weeks have been a little crazy lately so I have spent the weekends overindulging more than I probably should. Yesterday, I made my way to my local health food store, bleary eyed, hoodie clad and generally feeling sorry for myself. I’m now stocked up on various over-priced lotions and potions that promise to erase my guilt and get me on the straight and narrow. So I am healthy. I am calm. I am zen. And to go with my zen-like state, I wanted to post about a Tanzanian hideaway I found on my internet travels. Soft neutral colours and natural earthy elements surrounded by wildlife… could it get any better? Here’s to a very zen week!

  2. Yes please, on all fronts. I love that there is an armchair in the bathroom, perfect for someone lazy like me who just wants to zone out after a nice hot soak. All the open windows and natural light are giving me goosebumps. And I love that the bed is in the middle of the room with a desk behind it! That's so clever!

  3. I could see one feeling one with nature right away. Although the tones are muted there is so much interest with texture and pattern. Even the bathroom is a hideaway on its own.

  4. The bathroom lavatory detail is beautiful. I can live in the bath alone. :) And the patio with that view..swoon.

  6. Oh how I would love to live in that home. The warm colors are what got me. One of my favorite things about this home is that it sits by a big open field..... something that I wish I lived beside. So freeing. For now I will just wish that I was out on one of those lovely chairs sipping wine. :-)

  7. Wow, wow, wow! I love it! I have been dreaming of going back to Africa lately and now you have really gotten me inspired! Love it. Hope the lotions help you feel good. :)

  8. We watched a show called Extreme Homes on HGTV last night, and some of the homes reminded me of this. Open to the outside. Doors spread wide. This home is much, much nicer. Also, those homes had monkeys running in and out, and that's pretty much a deal breaker for me. ;)
