My weekend…

Tuesday 8 May 2012

We had a somewhat rocky start to our long weekend which began with a horrendous traffic jam which led to sharp words being exchanged in the car which in turn led to us not agreeing on anything for the rest of the day! Do traffic jams bring out the worst in you too? So it was a welcome relief to hop in the car (minus the traffic jams) and enjoy some good food and company with family outside the the confines of the city. The rain managed to hold out for a few minutes for us to snap a couple of pictures of the historic town centre of East Grinstead in West Sussex. Don’t you think the high street looks like it has been frozen in time?

  2. How pretty! I know a few people that have moved to East Grinstead. Now I know why! Traffice jams are a nightmare - they give even the most patient of people road rage! Fully understandable I say!

  3. beautiful pics. traffic jams don't do anything for us anymore. there've been too many. and it's so not worth it to have them spoil the rest of the day. there was a learning curve, tho... ;)

  5. Car arguments are the worst! But I'm sure that beautiful town made you forget about the disagreement pretty quickly! That place is amazing!

  11. Is that street for real?!! Frozen in time, you said it sister.

Traffic jams can bring out the worst in our kids but the two of us remain pretty much unaffected. Usually we just talk about sailing somewhere on a cruising boat and before we know it that traffic starts clearing. Try that next time ;-)
