Living the dream…

Monday 21 May 2012

If you asked me what my dream home would entail, you would almost certainly hear the following words: cottage, cosy, natural timber, fireplace, more windows than walls, soft colours, and most importantly – sea-view. This rural cottage in Maine encompasses all of those things and more! Renovated by architect Sheila Narusawa (for clients Fiona and Tony Hooper), this former dilapidated General Store  sits so close to the coast that during high tide, the water actually laps at the porch (I can’t decide whether this is scary or really intriguing)!   I’ve swooned over the kitchen a few times on Pinterest but I had never seen the whole package! I can honestly say, hands down, that this is one of my favourite finds!

It gets better… you can rent it here!

  4. I would like to spend a weekend there. I think the hide tide partly intrigues me and partly scares me. :)

  9. Love the idea of the wood stove in the sitting room and that claw foot tub is divine! I think I could get over the waves lapping at my porch as long as the front door was water tight.
