Leather Love!

Friday 20 January 2012

TGIF! Phew! For a second, I didn’t think I was going to make it! My weekend plans will be starting with a very large drink to end a very crazy week! I also hope to be spending some time with my other half as we celebrate our 8th anniversary (I teased him mercilessly last night about the very first day he awkwardly asked me ‘to be his girlfriend’ in our local ice-cream shop. I reluctantly agreed but neither of us were sure what to do afterwards! Do we kiss, do we talk, do we just sit here and stare at each other? In the end I remember shuffling out and holding hands clumsily praying my mother didn’t come around corner and see me with a boy)! But I am getting off track… back to the subject of my blog post, the leather jacket! I think I have been looking for good leather jacket since I was old enough to walk and sadly, the search continues. Thanks to Pinterest, I was able to narrow down the style I am really drawn to (something with big lapels and a bad attitude). Now just to find the real deal!

Do you own a leather jacket? What’s your style?

  1. Happy Anniversary, Meghan! I have a leather jacket, brown, really simple, right bellow the waist length, front zipper and side pockets. But I am in the search of a new one, although black is not an option for me as far as leather jackets go. I'm thinking camel or grey. xo

  7. Happy anniversary! Those jackets are beautiful. I miss my leather one - it's 100% maternity jacket time around here lately. NO variety at all. Blech.

  9. The fourth from the bottom is my absolute fave and my style (and I've been wanting a jacket just like that for a while now). But they all look so cool when paired with something super girly on the bottom.

  11. I bought my leather jacket last year on a girl's shopping trip - I love it!!! It's similar to the pic 4th from bottom, so not big lapels. It's tan and Levis - looks awesome with jeans, but also with dresses. The colour suits me as a blondie. xxx

  12. The perfect leather jacket is hard to find, but once you do it
's amazing! I splurged a few years back and got a Rick Owens black leather moto jacket - best thing I ever did (fashion wise) (-: Can't wait to see pics of what you get!

  14. Hope you celebrated a wonderful anniversary! As for the jacket, after 32 years leather-free, I finally manage to find one that I really love: black, very simple design without collar and diagonal zip (very similar to the one in the 11th pic). It does not have a label as my mom spotted it during a market fair...Good luck with your search and keep us posted!

  15. Happy anniversary!!
That photo of the giant twirling skirt is stunning!
I have never found THE ONE either...The sleeves are always too short and wide or they're kinda disco/Thriller.
