Oh so quiet…

Tuesday 27 November 2012

I wish I had more exciting photos to share this morning but my weekends have been very much a home affair as my husband finishes up the last of his impossible degree. We spend our spare moments pondering what we will do with our spare evenings and weekends (ironic huh) once he finally has his freedom – and believe me when I tell you the list is very very long. But I am not despairing because the end is in sight (we hope) and in the meantime, I will continue to try and ignore my growing cabin fever by taking comfort in food and bad television!

DSC00156DSC07625IMG_6089DSC08508DSC08640DSC08675DSC08558i give my NY snow globe a shake every day; you are never too old for birthday candles; decking the halls; rice pudding soufflé; delicious bread; my favourite throw

  1. Good food and bad tv - doesn't sound too bad ;-) You're not alone though as I guess that a lot of people will be spending time at home at this time of the year. My blog posts aren't exactly exciting either, much for the same reasons... xo

  9. The bread looks amazing.. possibly bad for the diet as I might just sit there with a bowl of olive oil and dip my way through loads of bad TV!

  10. I love this time of year for that precise reason, cuddling up and staying in. It's very comforting. Great shots to capture the season!

  11. Talk about "setting the mood" with just a few photos! Now I want to cosy up under a comfy throw with some twinkle lights, soft music, and a giant slice of cake. You're definitely never too old for candles, and you don't need to wait for a birthday to break them out. Everyday can be a celebration! I want to beam myself to that bread display and eat my way through it. Good luck to your husband on finishing up his classes! There's light at the end of the tunnel!

  13. Love. I am really striving to get things done in order to be where you are. Hmmm, it's the carrot at the end of hard work. Sitting there looking at all of the prettiness!

  16. It snowed yesterday here in NY, although it was mostly snow and rain mixed. A bath and television sounds like a perfect evening to me!
