The City Revisited

Tuesday 20 August 2013

I’m feeling a little fragile (again) this morning after yet another leaving party so please forgive my lack of words this morning. I am conscious of the fact that it sounds like I am a major lush but it’s less than 2 weeks (eeeeeeeeekkkkk!!!!) until we jet off to Australia and my very last week of work so celebrations are in full force. I never thought I would say this but thankfully social gatherings are now winding down and we are going to spend the weekend moseying about London just taking in the surroundings for the last time. Starting with one of my favourite places in London, The City.

  1. I don't know how long exactly you've been here, but it must be strange to say goodbye to everything and maybe feel a tad nostalgic and sad amongst all the excitement. Fairly jealous though that you're moving to Australia just as it'll turn autumnal here ;-)

  3. I simply can't believe you have only two weeks left! I'm so excited (and, let's face it, totally envious) for you. This really is the hard time though, isn't it? The two worlds colliding time. Feet no longer in your old home and not yet planted in your new.

I love London, and these photos are beautiful. What stunning memories you've made.

  6. aw, the bittersweet time right before a new beginning. sounds perfect that you planned your "goodbyes" a little ahead of the final departure so you can do just what you have planned, quietly walk around and take everything in again before you set off. luckily it sounds like you have lots of loved ones there so you will be able to come back for visits!
