See ya later London!

Tuesday 9 July 2013

As my days in London dwindle, I have realised that I am “taking in” a lot more than usual. Instead of reaching for my Kindle as I take my seat on the bus in the mornings, I have just let myself enjoy the scenery – the hustle and bustle of Victoria station, the traffic madness of Piccadilly Circus, the majestic beauty of Berkeley Square and finally the captivating window displays on Regent Street. In between packing and stressing, Jordan and I are trying to revisit our favourite London spots to make final memories to take with us to our new home in Sydney. I wanted to do the same here on Wishful Thinking. So every week for the next couple of months, I will be re-posting some of my favourite shots of London. I hope you enjoying revisiting them as much as I did.

  1. It's strange, isn't it: As much as I yearn to move to the South of France (one day...) I know that at the same time I'd probably cry my eyes out over having to leave London. As hacked off as I get over all the noise, the people, the crap drivers, the rudeness, the pollution - I still love it overall. I look forward to more of your London shots xo

  2. I'm so pleased you're drinking it all in. It would be easy to take it all for granted, but looking at your photos, I am in awe. I've spent some time in London, and know it can be busy and crazy, but you've done an amazing job at capturing the beauty. x

  3. I'd love to see them all again, absolutely. It feels like a fitting farewell, to keep posting, if that makes sense? It's strange that we never know what we have until we're about to give it up, even if we're 100% certain we're making the right choice. Think of how exciting it will be for you to find new places to photograph in Australia! When do you move? xo

  7. Yes! Take it all in before you leave, as you know, it's a beautiful city and just know it will be there whenever you decide to visit or live there again.

  12. Saying goodbye is always hard and bitterweet. You'll make great new memories in Sydney and be able to treasure the ones you made in London. When we moved to the US I played tourist for a couple of days in my then hometown and finally crossed off things I had on my list but never gotten around to do before.
