Just what I needed…

First and foremost, I need a little of this….

Have you ever been glad to see a Monday morning? Well I certainly am today! My Friday evening kicked off with meeting up with a very sick-looking husband at the train station to walk home together. Little did we know of the chaos that would ensue! He got progressively greener the closer we got to home and by the early hours of Saturday morning, we figured he had a very nasty case of food poisoning. Not. Fun. But several servings of dry toast and plain pasta later, he’s feeling much better (although chicken is firmly off the menu for the foreseeable future… for both of us)!

Thank goodness for Monday! Let’s start how we mean to go on with this classic cottage I found on my internet travels. And let me tell you, it was just what I needed to get over the stress that was the weekend! I had to start off with the exterior because it’s definitely my favourite! I’m also loving the near-to-perfect kitchen (proving that marble and white subway tiles go together like cheese and crackers), the neutral colour scheme paired with small doses of bright colours, the beautiful fabric patterns, the colours, the wall finishes, the layers and layers and layers!

Thoughts?

  8. It's just a smidge too traditional for my taste, but that kitchen is perfection. Love subway tiles and white marble together, especially with pops of yellow!

  13. Hope your husband is feeling much better - food poisoning can be the worst. The house - love the banquette and those amazing chairs with the dual fabric. Overall - the infusion of the soft turquoise is amazing!
