Some Friday madness…

Friday, 20 April 2012

Do you ever have days where you go a little spend-crazy? Well a few months ago, I had a few of these days – I denied myself nothing and it was brilliant (although of course it was followed by a bad bout of the dreaded ‘shopping guilt’). Obviously I can’t have these days too often or I would be flat broke so I’ve been practising more restraint lately. Restraint involves window shopping, internet window shopping that is, where I fill my virtual basket to the brim and then close my browser without buying anything, just to prove that I have the power! Admittedly, this a little strange and juvenile, and I am sure that psychologists have a name for me, but I don’t care because it’s seriously fun!

Are their other virtual window shoppers out there or should I seek medical help?

  1. I think window shopping, online and off, is a therapy too. :) What a gorgeous clutch! And I have to get some of those herb bottles, so lovely! Have a wonderful weekend, Meghan! xo

  4. At least you have the willpower to close your browser...no medical attention needed! And, yes, I'll take #'s 10, 11 and 12, please and thank you.

  9. Oh girl I'm in the same boat as you. I work within .3 miles of a really good mall and Crate and Barrel. Never fails that I walk out with something even if I tell myself no spending. I have to just bring a magazine to read at lunch if I'm going to have a no spending week.

  10. I have been on a buying spree lately as well. I don't do it often but when I have those days, it is fun albeit a little guilt.

Love all your picks especially the topiary, table lamp, clutch and belt.

    Have a lovely weekend, Meghan!

  11. Very cute sandals. Absolutely I'm a virtual shopper. I've been putting together an "Essentials" board over the past few weeks. It's like a shopping list come to life...well, almost.

  12. I'm with you. I'd rather shop online for most things, so I'm always browsing to find stuff I want, then I decide I don't really need it and close the window. If you find out that this has a name, let me know ;)

  13. Oh yay, I'm not the only one then! I am online sooo much sourcing new products for my store, and inspiration for my blog, it's hard not to buy all these beautiful things. I usually practice restraint, but just recently, I went a little crazy too. Now I'm waiting for the parcels to start arriving. One came this morning - so exciting!!! : )
