It’s been a while since I posted anything about London but I’m going to be typical here and blame the weather (it’s difficult to be enthusiastic when your extremities are freezing off)! I got a little stir-crazy last weekend and we decided to brave the icy cold Russian wind and take a visit to Kew Gardens - embarrassingly, I have lived a 15-minute drive away from the Gardens for the past 7 years and have never visited. Set in sprawling grounds, it’s got a bit of everything: nature, wildlife (don’t get too excited, I mean London wildlife i.e. peacocks, squirrels and geese), grand Victorian glass houses filled with exotic plants, galleries and probably one of the best gift shops I have ever been to! Of course the weather was atrocious so excuse the grey skies, but just try and picture this place in the summer with wild flowers growing everywhere and glorious sunshine!
