Off Topic for a Friday

Friday, 12 August 2011

I usually do my London adventures post on Fridays but given the events over the past week, I have decided against it. To tell you the truth, there have been moments this week when I have been a little ashamed to call myself a Londoner. So TGIF... again! Hopefully this weekend will be calm and relaxing for all! In the meantime, I thought I would leave you with some funny/pretty images that helped me get through this meh week!

Meet Juan, we think he moonlights as a Zumba Instructor

Has anyone else seen this emerging trend to leave the house without pants?

The awesome community of Clapham, cleaning the streets after the riots!

  15. We recently had riots in Vancouver so I can completely sympathize with how you feel. It's so tragic when the city you love is taken over by mindless thugs. Hope all is well soon!

  16. I am so sorry about the events that happened this past week in/around London - but be proud to call yourself a Londoner - it is a very small percentage of the population that did these horrible things and so many more people that helped with clean up etc. (the good people out weigh the bad) Hope you have a good weekend!

  17. I love that community spirit that always seems to prevail after events like these take place. Shows that despite the carnage, the human spirit lives as strong as ever.

    Happy weekend!

  18. Yay, these really cheered me up. Last week was pretty awful here in London and felt very uncomfortable... The tights one made me smile - a short while ago I posted on FB that "leggings aren't trousers, they should be treated like tights...", so this is quite funny ;-) xo

  19. I must say I do love living in leggings in the winter...at my house. Unless I'm wearing a long sweater, shirt-dress or something of that like, I will not be wearing my leggings out and about, though tempting. I go to work in them (again, with the above options over it), lay around in them and sleep in them in the winter. Can't help it. :) Sorry about your week being bad. I've heard about the riots, though I don't know much about it. I have some family over there (not in London though), so I've been concerned for them. Hope all is well and things are getting better!!

  20. Thanks goodness we know that a couple rotten ones don't ruin the whole bunch, right? Definitely a "meh" week...but that little fuzz ball with the mustache is the cutest stinkin' thing ever! Made me smile (c:
