Did I just buy pyjamas?

Friday, 3 February 2012

I’m always a bit late to catch on to trends (I guess it takes a while for them to ‘grow’ on me). Last year, the palazzo pants hit the high street hard and since I was only just getting to grips with skinny jeans, I resisted them. But during a recent expedition to the sales, I found these gorgeous palazzo pants - for £13.50 I couldn’t say no. Ridiculously pleased with my trendy bargain, I brought them home and showed them to my guy. His response: those are pyjamas. I had to admit that he had a point as they do have a certain pyjama-like quality but they’re still super-stylish…. right?

What do you think of the palazzo pants? Would/will you wear them this summer? Do you think they look like pyjamas?

  1. I think they're fabulous! In summer when jeans are too warm but I don't feel like wearing a dress, they're perfect for keeping cool without looking like I've just left the beach. Have a lovely weekend xo

  5. I used to have pants similar to some of these a while ago but have not bought a pair recently. I wonder if I could still carry them off :) Great pics, as usual, Meghan.

  6. I knew there was a reason Mother never gave away her Pucci palazzo pants... While my hubby would same the same thing if I wore them, I know I'd be in good company if I did! I say go for it.

  7. I love them if they are done with a small top. These are great examples!

  8. Skinny jeans or not, I always love palazzo pants (certainly a classic style in my book)

  10. Hi Megan, TYSM for your lovely comments. Being a Brit (albeit in Spain!) I love reading your blog which I only recently found :-)
Palazzo pants? These never seem to leave the Med, and seem to resurface every summer where I live. I must admit I do wear them in the hot months, but I always try to dress them up with great sandals and accessories so that they don't look like pi's ;-)
