One Year Ago Today!

One year ago today I sat down to write my very first blog post. I agonised over that first post. I edited it at least 20 times before finally posting it and once it was up, I just about threw up. That night I wondered if I was in over my head. I mean, it's one thing to sit and read blogs for over a year but another matter entirely to be the author of one.  Having always told myself that blogging would be solely for me and that it really wouldn't matter if the only person who read my blog was Jordan (and only because I made him), my anxiety proved otherwise. After the first initial spark of interest in my ramblings, the terror and the exhilaration faded but the process continues to be incredibly rewarding. It always amazes me at how the comments of a few kind people can encourage you to persevere and find inspiration when you think you just don't have the energy. Through this blog, I have 'met' so many wonderful people, discovered new blogs, felt more creative than ever, cooked more, discovered more of London, taken hundreds of photos and generally got so much more out of life. So I would like to say thank you to those of you who take the time to stop by and say hello. It truly makes my day.

Here's a look back on what went down here on Wishful Thinking in 2011. I'm hoping for much of the same (only better) for 2012...so stick around!
