I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy when it comes to fashion. I’m most comfortable in a pair of jeans, a thick cardigan and a pair of converse. But the older I get, the more feminine my style is becoming. A couple of dresses here, a pair of high heels there… and voila, the woman emerges! A few years ago, I would have sniggered at someone in sequins and asked them why they were dressed up like a Christmas cracker. Now I find myself wanting to ask them where they bought their outfit from. Although I can’t see myself stepping out in a sequined dress any time soon, I’m starting with baby steps like a glitzy clutch and a fabulous sparkly pair of shoes! How do you feel about wearing sequins? Do you own anything sparkly?

I don't think I could pull off a sequined dress, but a sequined purse, shoes, shirt or, my favourite, the mini skirts...yes yes yes!!!

I love sequins, especially slightly muted pieces in soft gold, blush, silver or black. These photos you've found are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI never was a sparkly kind of girl but lately I've found myself more interested, especially if the sparkles come in the form of accessories. I would not say no to a sequined clutch, definitely not.

ReplyDeleteSequins are not really my style, but I've learned never to say never. I think everyone should find his/her own personal style, but I also believe that it always evolves and that you should incorporate new elements in your wardrobe as long as they reflect your personality.
