Crisis people! I decided to remove my highlights over the weekend and go back to my natural sandy brown hair colour… I now look like an un-foxy version of Morticia Addams. So apologies if I am a little grumpy this week! No worries though as I have managed to find a house where it wouldn’t matter what colour my hair was. Meet the Carriagehouse in Australia, by interior designers Hare and Klein. Give me exposed brickwork, shiny dark timber floors and industrial light fittings any day of the week! Even though there is a noticeable absence of colour, I think the space more than makes up for it with those beams and interesting cluttered knickknacks! What do you think? Could you be blissfully happy here?

This place has tones of character so the lack of colors kind of make up for it! Love the kitchen area, so rustic and charming.

i like this interior, its kinda loft style. industrial and simple- perfect, but instead of brick i prefer concrete :)

Aww Meghan! It's only temporary and it can be fixed...and I am sure you are way too hard on yourself. Can't be worse than what I did to my hair 2 months ago. I have brownish black hair and wanted to go light and I dyed it myself. Well, only the top of my hair took the color and the rest was black. It was like someone dumped a bowl of hair dye on my hair and left the bowl on there. YIKES! And it turned ORANGE....the Hubby said I looked like an albino and he couldn't stop laughing at me.

What a great place and I love your analogy to hair! I go through the same thing every summer, in fact this is the first year I haven't had low lights or high lights added in--it just gets to be such a hassle from keeping it going too brassy that I skipped it so far this summer although I'm feeling very blah...but back to the home--would die for that egg bathtub!

Thanks ladies! It helps to know that I am not the only one with a hair crisis! Linh, your story made me laugh out loud, I had a similar incident a few years ago (I know, I should learn my lesson right), my guy actually volunteered to help me lighten my hair but he missed loads at the back and I ended up with orange spotty hair, I was called a cheetah for a few weeks!

Hey Meghan, so sorry to hear about your hair!!! Wanted to say thank you so much for coming by my blog and leaving such a lovely comment! Hopefully those words will cheer you up this week!! I'm enjoying the pictures of that house and putting them in my inspiration folder for my new house. We just bought an older building on our town square and plan to renovate the top floor as our apartment which has a loft feel with high ceilings and the exposed brick walls. I'm loving the natural rustic feel to this place but I think I would need just a bit of color and a comfy couch! But the pictures are sure nice to look at!
