I have to fess up and say that when it comes to using colour in my home, I am known to be a big fat sissy! I tend to favour solid, neutral, earthy tones over vibrant brights and patterns. This has always worked well for me (I find these tones particularly soothing and easy to live with) but lately I have been feeling a shift and the craving for colour is strong! One such colour that I really want to incorporate is magenta. It’s bold, uplifting, unusual and best of all, it seems to go with pretty much everything!
Are you a fan of magenta? Have you used it in your home?

I love all shades from fuscia to magenta. In fact I just decided an accent colour for a display home I'm working on will be hot pink/fuscia. Great inspiration here! xx

fabulous colours. I need to change things up too. great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI do love magenta...in small doses of course. I presently don't have anything this color in my home (yet). I like the idea of having a soft throw in that color...
ReplyDeleteLove magenta as an accent color! The old weathered doors look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI favour neutral, earthy tones too, but I like to add some colour here and there too.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the first image. That rug is amazing and would make any room incredible. I need to find one of those! xx
ReplyDeleteI love the pops of magenta! So much that I am even wearing magenta shoes today, too!
ReplyDeleteMuch love,

This post makes me want to get bold(er) with colour!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a neutral girl. But these images have inspired me to "start small" ;-) xx
ReplyDeleteSuch great photos for inspiration! I love magenta, and anything bold for that matter! I think the hardest part is tying it in with whatever you've got!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I am very similar to you. I have always like the muted tones but by these pictures you have certainly influenced me towards a punch of color. I think that's why I like the muted tones, so that we can switch up and use a punch of color whenever we like, whatever color we like.
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely is this colour. I too usually like muted tones but have always loved the punch of magenta, especially with crisp white. Lovely images.
