My Fair London – Greenwich

Tuesday 20 March 2012

On Sunday morning, we headed out to Greenwich before the rain made it’s 20th appearance of the weekend. I have been dying to visit it (if only just for an excuse to use the automated Docklands Light Rail Trains… yes, I know I need to get out more). It’s location is a little far out for us and involved several tube changes but I am so glad we made the special trip as the views into London were worth the trip alone. We took a wonder around the pier, the Naval College, the Maritime Museum and the Royal Observatory. It was a fly-by visit and we didn’t get to see the really good stuff like the market, meridian line or the astronomy centre but we will definitely be back so watch this space!

  1. Hehehe, another post on Greenwich today - I have one too, though slightly different. It's great to see it through somebody else's eyes. Because I don't live far from Greenwich, it's nearly "local" to me (not as local as Dulwich, but in London terms still very close) and I have spent countless afternoons walking round the park, admiring the view and popping to the market. You've taken some lovely pics. Have a great day xo

  6. Looks like you are getting out more to enjoy these lovely places and your photos so lovely to admire. Gosh, there is so much history in London. It's too bad here in Vancouver, Canada they are making it a habit of tearing down heritage buildings for more money a denser city Sad.
