I realise that I am a little late to the party but if I am honest, I wasn’t even sure where I stood with the whole ‘acrylic furniture: cheap or chic debate’. After months of deliberation and seeing it used in a few of my favourite rooms, I am now a firm fan. I know this is nothing new and you have probably seen some of these oldies but goodies but I couldn’t resist putting this post together.
Need I ask whether you are a fan or not?
In my next life, I would like to come back as a New Yorker. I want the jam-packed weekends, the delicious street food, the frenetic pace of life but most of all, I want the sprawling Manhattan apartment. (Just in case you are wondering how I would afford this, I will be rich and famous… of course)! I’ve got an idea of what I want, and I have to say it comes pretty close to the apartment I will be showing you today. Writer Brad Goldfarb and Alfredo Paredes—executive vice president and chief retail creative officer at Ralph Lauren—collaborated with architect Michael Neumann on the renovation of their beautiful Manhattan duplex. I fell instantly for the abundant rich, natural timber combined with the enormous steel framed windows. And of course who could resist that terrace and those adorable pooches?

I was pleasantly surprised at just how much I enjoy them! A few weeks ago, GP (yes, I just abbreviated her name) shared some Hamptons insight from those in the know and a little gem on the ‘Where to Stay’ section caught my eye. The Inn at Windmill Lane (how awesome is that name) promises to provide a “peaceful and relaxing environment” for guests - I can’t imagine I would feel anything but at calm and relaxed surrounded by this beauty.
