Ok, so I know this is slightly unusual…. (hardcore eclectics might be scratching their head at this but it’s progressive for me)! The jeans, top and accessories are my wardrobe staples but the glasses might be a little out there. I’m starting to realise that the older I get, the more eclectic my fashion taste is becoming. I think it’s good to take yourself out of your comfort zone once in a while [note to self: take this advice more often], if only to have your children laugh at the pictures one day!

The warm and fuzzies...
Friday, 2 November 2012
I can’t take full credit for this little Friday number I put together, it was
originally inspired by an outfit I fell in love with on Pinterest. I've been
debating faux fur for a while now, and let’s be honest, it can look a little
tacky, but I never write anything off until I have really mulled it over in my
mind, and after seeing it pop up on blogs and fashion magazines I began to
rethink my stance. In small doses (I'm talking gilets, fur-lined hoods and even
shoes) it can look bold and well… for lack of a better word, Fabulous. But I am still of the belief that in large doses, fur can look not only tacky, but it is also
incredibly ageing. With this in mind, I put together an outfit that is both simple and young.
How do you feel about faux fur? Would you wear something like this little fur
gilet?
In Denial...
Friday, 17 August 2012
We had to turn the lights on for the first time this summer to eat dinner and I just about had a meltdown on the spot! I’m not ready for the colder weather and pouring rain but more than anything, I am not ready for the shorter days! So I am in denial. Just pretending it’s not happening. Even if it means showering and eating in the dark. On that note, I had a little fun on Polyvore yesterday, putting together yet another summer outfit!
Here's to another sunny, summery weekend! Enjoy!
