This is no news flash. It is cold in England. I hate to use the word ‘unseasonably’ because it is generally cold here, but damn, it’s the 4th of April people. I have spent a fair few hours weeping at my keyboard over everyone’s spring posts because let’s face it, if you live in the UK, it aint spring. But I am not letting that deter me. There will be spring here on Wishful Thinking. So Mr Weatherman, you can take your 5 degrees celcius and put it you know where. Where was I? Oh yes, pure [spring] thoughts.

It is bitter here as well gosh darn it! Well under the regular temps for this time of year! Your photos inspire me to remodel our bedroom in these creamy tones!
ReplyDeleteA very refreshing post. I'm sending you some heat and please send us some cold air as I brave the sauna-like day inside a vehicle with broken air conditioning.
ReplyDeleteI am here in the U.S., Kentucky more specifically. We are not having much spring weather either! Dreadful and a bit depressing! lol But we must press on! Wonderful spring photos!
ReplyDeletehaha, i love that "there will be spring here on wishful thinking," yes! we have been so lucky as we usually have the UK weather. we have had a few days in the 70's! the last few though, as cloudy and 60 but that is still amazing my book. if i could bottle it i would definitely send you some!!! maybe you just need another vacation :)

If it helps at all, we had a gorgeous stretch of sunny weather for about a week, and the rain returned today! Seattle is playing games with me! :) Stay warm!!! thanks for your nice comments lately too!
ReplyDeleteKeep your head up sweet pea ...... I will wish warm weather your way. It's raining here in Vancouver today but I can't complain, we had great weather for the past week although I need more heat! Love the bone color combo.
ReplyDeleteHaving lived in intense heat for the last 12 years, I am loving this cold weather in the UK ;-) I admit is it unseasonal and a wee bit strange. I don't mind how cold it gets as long as it doesn't rain.
ReplyDeleteHey... Isn't your blog called Wishful Thinking??? Spring's got to come sometime - for you and for us! So we're thinking pure thoughts with you and staying positive... for the time being.

Hang in there Meghan, that warm weather can't be far off. You are living in England though. England has a lot going for it, but the weather is not near the top :) x
