I would definitely not call myself a girly-girl. I prefer the look of combat boots, leather jackets and wayfarer sunnies over heels and dresses any day. But I have days when I wake up and want to celebrate being a woman by wearing something feminine and flattering (it’s a bonus that dresses are usually more comfy). The older I get, the more frequent these days have become. One of the more feminine trends that I am really loving right now is scallops. Their effect on an ordinary t-shirt is amazing – they romanticise and soften the edges. It’s even more striking when paired with something more jazzy like sequence or bold cuts. What do you think of the scallop trend?
Gorgeous and feminine. I want the skirt in photo 2 pretty bad! And the last outfit is divine too. x
ReplyDeleteLately, I've been seeing a lot of lacy scalloped shorts very similar to that second to last pic. I really love them, but I'm like you in that I prefer my combats and leather (usually faux). Once in a while, it's nice to change up the wardrobe a bit!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a girly girl either, but some of these are stunning. I love the ones that still maintain clear and straight lines. great selection xxo
ReplyDeleteOh my, that IS feminine! My favourite has got to be the top with the scallop back detail. Happy (and girlie!) weekend Meghan!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever tried wearing scalloped dresses, shorts or skirts before. They're pretty! I'd probably not notice it or give it much thought before if I find scalloped pieces in a rack, but seeing your post now, I can then visualize how stunning they'd look.
ReplyDeleteOh but scallops are in. I could just kick myself a few months ago I tried on a scallop dress and decided against it only because the event I was going to wasn't that dressy but gosh, I could've bought it for another more fabulous shindig!!!!! This post makes me want to go back to see if it's still there!!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletei love dresses and think scallops are cute
ReplyDeleteScallops are my favorite! So sweet & feminine, but clean cut!
ReplyDeleteI love all these examples. I haven't seen scallops like this!
ReplyDeleteI like it seeing it on others but don't think I could pull it off myself. Except that last look. There's something about that bright orange and those booties that help balance it out
