On your head be it…

It’s happened. I have discovered ebay. I have held off for years, knowing that when the day came, it would be epic. I blame it’s addictiveness on the fact that it feels like you have “won” something rather than bought it. So far, I have bought 2 pairs of snazzy vintage ice-skates (reason unknown at this stage) but what I really want, is a gorgeous wool hat, 70s style. I have not had much luck on ebay (although Etsy has a fair few jaw dropping beauties) but the search continues. The lovely Colleen from Ordinary Tales found some real doozies in this post.

What say you wide-brimmed 70s style hats?

  4. They're all pretty. A hat can brighten one's day- I've been wanting a hat for a long time and when I finally got myself one for an island trip (one that fits my head without falling off), I was using it everyday and I was happy I got it. Have a great weekend :)

  6. Somehow we can't believe there isn't a little vintage shop in London that sells these hats! We love ebay as a fabric source - just scored 20 yards of gorgeous deep blue mohair (from Kravet!) for $35 a yard (normally over $100!) We'll keep our eyes out for a hat for you!

  7. I love every single one!!!! Gosh it would be fun to wear one of these ....... although, people don't have such an appreciation for them in the everyday world. My hubby would ask if I'm heading out to the beach or something. I'm a 70's child, I could pull it off ..... everyone would just be jealous they didn't have one. Have a great weekend!

  13. vintage ice skates make GREAT wall decor, kinda wish I still had mine. I LOVE the wide rim hats (have one in straw that I use for beach/park/pool/picnic days). Ebay can be a great friend :) There when u need it, haha. It's where I found my lion head brass doorknocker for a CRAZY low price!
