Inspired by the dark and moody city apartment I posted about on Monday, I went in search of some similar kitchens to feed my ever-present kitchen obsession. I’m not sure why I am drawn to these cosy and snug images when in just a matter of weeks, I will be basking in sunshine. Nostalgia maybe? In any event they are on my mind. Of course in reality, I would prefer something much lighter and brighter but that’s why I love the internet, not only do you get to daydream about the impractical, but you get to blog about it too!
There is something so rustic and romantic about a dark and stormy kitchen...HAve you seen the blog Manger? http://mimithorisson.com
ReplyDeleteNow this is a blog with a dark and stormy kitchen. A bit of a fairy tale life, but I enjoy!
Love those dark kitchens although I might not go that route myself if I had to choose. On the other hand the last image really tickles my fancy.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of all of these actually...but I don't know if I could do it myself!
ReplyDeleteI kind of want the personality that would go along with having a kitchen like this
ReplyDeleteDark kitchen give off a very passionate vibe.

ReplyDeleteWhat cool, moody kitchens. I can just imagine them with lots of candlelight and red wine x
ReplyDeletei really like the bottom one on the left. i agree with you and others, not sure i could do it myself but i do like the looks.
ReplyDeletei'm definitely more of a bright kitchen girl, but compared to the tiny nyc kitchens i use i'd happily have one of these :)
ReplyDeleteIn my home I love brightness, but I do love visiting restaurants + bar lounges that have the cozy dark and stormy vibe.
