Growing Pains

The move is starting to catch up with me and for the past couple of weeks, I have been feeling a series of up and down emotions. One minute I feel settled and grounded, the next minute it’s all unfamiliar and foreign again. I’ve been grumpy, ecstatic and inconsolable all in one day. As I go through the motions and try to find some semblance of normality again, things are still a little erratic around here. On the plus side, living in the new city means my weekends often look a lot like this:

  1. Well so far your blog posts have been fabulous and I think that what you're going through is pretty normal. Keep your head up girlfriend! You're in a good place.

  3. Your weekends make me so jealous. And it takes some time to settle in so don't worry about not adjusting completely yet. I've lived here for a year and I'm still finding my way around

  4. You have to give yourself some time. And hey, that's a pretty good looking weekend!

  5. I feel always so displaced after a move. The last time we moved was nearly 11 years ago (I am SO restless, you can't even imagine!), and I still have very distinct memories of how "off" I felt for so long. Not myself. Not "at home." Not connected to anything. It takes a lot longer than we think it will (which is both reassuring and a big bummer!).

  6. it'll get easier. I know that probably doesn't help you right now, but maybe knowing that other people have been and are going through the same things might.

  7. I am worried I'd be finding myself in that situation quite soon too but it is only natural. Don't worry, we'll get through it all.
