Monday Snoop – Knock your socks off gorgeous!

There is no doubt about it, city living can be taxing. Your neighbours are never more than 2 steps away, finding a parking space is almost always a hostile affair and you are very lucky if you have an outside space. City living requires you to be imaginative and clever with the space that you do have – it’s certainly not for the feint hearted. That’s why I stopped dead in my tracks when I found this little apartment in Barcelona. You wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at these pictures that it is only 60m2! The open plan flowing spaces and use of light airy colours, soft fabrics and lots of mirrors and glass has taken the focus off the lack of floor space (on closer inspection, it’s evident that the apartment is actually very narrow)! And of course I have to mention that courtyard – it’s gorgeous enough to be featured on its own postcard!

  1. Oh wow! 60 sq.m? This home is wonderfully proportioned and designed. Each corner of this lovely abode is such a delight to snuggle in especially that patio with their own container garden! The glass panel at the stair is such an intelligent detail.

  3. I had to scroll back after seeing the photos to check that I didn't misread about the 60sq.m. It looks so much bigger. Love the huge glass doors to the courtyard and the courtyard itself.

  7. Well it's impossible to not be jealous of whomever gets to live there! I love those narrow console tables in the hall, the galley kitchen with that charming eating nook in the back, and that arched mirror leaning behind the sofa! The whole place is very cottage chic, and I'm smitten.
