The Oast House Part 2

And behold the interior of the Oast House! Warm, welcoming and bursting with character.  I just couldn’t stop swooning over the details: the oak joinery, the vaulted ceilings, the view of the orchard, the beautiful trinkets hung from window and door handles, the wine and chocolate treats left in our room and most importantly… that copper bath! I have had some pretty spectacular baths in my life but that copper beauty certainly took the biscuit. It was so deep, I feared I might drown – a fear almost confirmed when the bath let out an explosive gong noise as it expanded and contracted. Our host Wendy was fantastic too, friendly and informative but leaving us to come and go as we pleased. I should also point out that our breakfast was scrumptious, including eggs from the garden hens and local wild boar sausage. It was a truly unforgettable stay and the perfect place to celebrate Jordan’s graduation! If you ever find yourself in Kent, then this is where you need to be staying!

  6. Squeeeaalll! It's like an actual shabby chic cottage. That copper tub!! I would have tried to fit it in my bag on the way out, along with those little rabbit dolls and all those wonderful pillows. And the pink radio. Just pack the lot of, actually. Glad you had a fun time!!
