I have spent every Friday since July traipsing around a dirty (and sometimes very cold) building site and although I have loved every minute of it, I have missed my ‘Friday Glamour’. I tend to dress up a bit – straighten the hair, wear a dress and generally make more of an effort, whereas my Fridays of late have involved ancient jeans, tatty trainers and fleecy hoodies! I’m back to my normal routine today and am craaaaaaving a bit of glitz and what better way to get it than by posting the epitome of glamour: GOLD! I’ve always been more of a silver/white gold/platinum girl myself but as I get older, I feel the pull towards gold more and more. I’m starting with little doses – a gold cuff here and a gold watch there.
How about you? Do you have a preference?
I've always been a silver, white gold, platinum girl too. I know what you mean about being tempted by gold recently. There seems to be a lot of gold and brass featuring on my favourite blogs, so it's easy to see why we're being swayed. I've got a Michael Kors watch in my sights, but undecided as to wether to buy a silver or gold one. x
ReplyDeleteA friend gave me a large faux gold bangle for a present and ever since I tried using it, I started seeing gold accessories in a different way. They just look great with white and cream.

Well, Meghan, this was the "problem" with me: I could not stand the gold, I always wanted the silver jewels, watches, but like magic, one day everything change, world went upside down and I became addicted to gold, especially cuffs, my passion. ReplyDeletei couldn't agree more! i always wore silver or white gold (i have never had anything platinum. not by my choice of course!) but i think each year i love gold more and more. these are lovely, i especially LOVE the cuffs but i am afraid i lean towards the comfort of delicate pieces.

ReplyDeleteThe older I get the more I like gold as well. As a teenager I wouldn't have been caught dead with gold jewelery ;) Love all the bangles on the photos but unfortunately I never wear any...
