A day in the life of me!

I am a phone-a-phobe. I’ve had the same crappy mobile for the past 4 years and have resisted the urge to buy a fancy-schmancy smart phone (the ability to download emails whilst on the toilet or on the train really doesn’t appeal to me). But after seeing a very elderly lady and a 7 year old with an iPhone, both on the same day, I have decided it might just be time for an upgrade. For me, the biggest appeal of having a new phone is carrying a built-in camera with you all the time. I’ve been playing around with Jordan’s iPhone and unknowingly created a little day-by-day diary of our recent activities which includes: silly London cars, more GBK burgers and shakes, Florence + the Machine at the Royal Albert Hall, a little plane trip over Portugal, Delilah’s monthly trip to the car wash (is there anyone else who gets really excited at the car wash), and the endless June rain.

P.S – please excuse the blurry quality of some of the photos, alcohol was almost certainly consumed.

  1. I hear you. having a camera with you is great. I got a small point and shoot just for that. much cheaper than an iPhone, much better pics, and about the same size... no fancy new phone for me :)

  2. I would love an iPhone, saving for one now. I am having fun playing with hubby's new iPad. Love that you go from milk shakes to cathedrals! And I'm so jealous that you went to Florence in concert - I love her!

  5. I just got a smart phone and had resisted the trend for a long time. It's actually taking me a while to get used to knowing there's a quality camera that I can take pictures with at all times. Your trip looks really awesome!

  8. I also have avoided getting an iPhone, but the images are brilliant. I wasn't convinced about the quality, but I'm sold now ;-)

  9. I was just at the car wash today and never thought to take such artistic pictures! I'm so glad I had my phone this weekend as my camera died in the midst of my son's regatta... Yeah for your new phone!

  10. I love this!! It's so nice to see what everybody else does and takes with their phones. I think those are always the best ones. Thanks for sharing. Now I'm craving a milk shake. Gonna go listen to my Forence + the Machine now.
