The mighty sleep box!

Picture this, you have been travelling for 20+ hours, your eyes are gritty, your throat is dry, you have fallen out with your other half for the 5th time that day, your hair looks like a birds nest and you have no idea what time zone you are in. Sound familiar? Now wouldn’t it be great if you could find a quiet, private place to brush your hair and rest your body for a few minutes? Well behold the sleep box! The solution to your travel miseries! The concept started out as mini hotels in Tokyo and are now popping up in airports and train stations all around the world. I can’t wait to test them out!

  1. I have spent many hours in airports trying to sleep on chairs or even on the floor when I've been desperate enough! These sound like an amazing idea - the only improvement was if they also offered shower boxes. I can't think of anything better than a room you can hire with a good shower, soft towels, a mirror and a bench so you can sit down and refresh. Of course these are available in Airline Clubs but something available for hire by the hour would be a godsend for those on a tighter budget!

  5. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! That is unbelievably amazing! I have never heard of this before, but I'm already thinking it's brilliant.

Falling out with your spouse for the 5th time that day? Sounds VERY familiar. Love that description you wrote. Traveling is so awesome and Jon and I love it, but there are definitely moments of stress, disorganization and short fuses on any trip. I guess the good part about traveling is that for the most part, you walk away with the good memories over the bad ones, but this sleep box could help alleviate a lot of those problems! I'm so intrigued....
