I’ve always liked the simple pleasure of listening to the rain beat down on a corrugated metal roof but I’ve never really noticed how much I actually like the ‘look’ of it. It evokes memories of my grandmother’s farm and childhood memories of long and hot African afternoons. I’ve noticed it popping up on Pinterest, used in a completely different context, and I am loving it. What do you think of it? Would you use it in your house?
Listening to rain on the roof I one of my fav simple pleasures too, along with fresh sheets - bliss! x
ReplyDeleteI adore it...so rustic and loved. My sister-in-law is from South Africa as well!
ReplyDeleteRain on the corrugated metal roof reminds me of my childhood too. :)
ReplyDeletePerhaps as a wall in a playroom for the boys - it would save so much on painting since nothing would show! Rain on a hot tin roof sounds romantic...

Oh that sound of rain on metal is one of my favorite sounds. This is a refreshing post because this is so beautiful and fits into the latest "rustic" look and yet I haven't seen corrugated metal posts this is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI completely know the vibe you are talking about. My family lived in a snowy region of Idaho when I was little and had metal roofs too. When we would visit I loved the sound of the rain falling on it. I like the look as well. I think I would definitely incorporate it in the cottage I dream about having someday :)
ReplyDeleteI love the industrial look the metal brings!
ReplyDeletei don't think it would be for me - but i always shy away from more industrial design. give me country style and white everywhere!
