If you visit my little corner of the internet on a regular basis, you will no doubt know that I can seldom resist posting about a country cottage… even more so if the said cottage is in a sun-drenched part of the world. And you really can’t get any more sun-drenched than Australia’s Sunshine Coast. Let me introduce you to this lovingly restored 1944 weatherboard house filled with natural light, classic furniture pieces and one the cutest dogs I have ever seen.
Let’s take the tour…

ReplyDeleteWhat a cozy place. And who wouldn't love to have oranges, pigs and chickens the backyard? It is the perfect virtual escape on a cold Monday morning...

ReplyDeleteYou are right, Meghan. Everything is better in the sunshine. This would make for a lovely escape.
ReplyDeletei could live in australia. and i think i could just go ahead and live in this cottage here for awhile. you, by the way, find the best cottages! that doggie, ah! cuteness overload! i really want to rub his belly. i'll take the pig and chickens too. where do i sign the lease?
ReplyDeleteIt's true. Everything looks better with a little bit of light.
ReplyDeleteI luv that u post about country cottages - it's my mini vacation when I visit ur blog ;) The dogs r cute, the cat looks like a diva star, but I am smitten with the chubby wubby pig. As for the home - adorable ... I was taken aback by the mirror reflection on the stove/oven (brilliant!).
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, I am swooning once again and you know what really made me happy? It was the simplicity of the tire hanging from the tree. Precious.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect cure for the wintertime blues! Thinking of investing in a house down under so we can have spring and summer all year long.
