It’s recently been pointed out to me that I [might be] overly attached to throw blankets. I have 2 on my sofa at home (one very warm, the other quite light), one hanging over the edge of the bed (for decorative purposes, of course) and then errrrm… one on my desk chair at work (to combat annoying a/c tundra winds). I think this level of attachment is perfectly acceptable but my work colleagues take great joy in laughing at my so-called “granny blanket”. What can I say? I just like to make myself warm and comfortable no matter where I am, even if I am at work!
What say you? Do you share my “blankie” obsession? :)
Yes definitely, the chunkier, woollier, cosier the better! :)
ReplyDeleteTotally share your obsession as I'm always freezing. Nothing better than a cosy blanket and a hot chocolate on a cold evening... xo
ReplyDeleteha, I'm writing this wrapped in a blanket :) xxx
ReplyDeleteYes I do!
ReplyDeleteBut I don't have one at work, it's like a hot Sahara desert where I work. I would prefer the tundra winds as I can't wear a bikini to the office :)

I could not agree more--I have them everywhere and love your idea of having one on the work chair--I'm going to have to try this!

My husband has threatened a revolt if I bring one more blanket into the house. I can't help it! I love being snuggly!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of having a throw at the desk chair.
ReplyDeleteThere is no such thing as too rich, or too much blankage.
ReplyDeleteGuess what I bought today.....yes, another throw! I'm right with you, sista!! There are few things nicer than snuggling up with a throw and a book and a cup of tea...and maybe some chocolate too!

I am right there with you on this one: can never have too many throws!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! You picked some great blankets to feature! They are all so beautiful. And I'm with you, nothing like having a comfy blanket draped over the arm of your chair, ready to be used!
ReplyDeleteI find a good blanketing completely necessary regardless of season. I am cold-blooded and feel pretty chilly, whether it's the wintertime or AC running. What are your favourite places to buy blankets?
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear you all share my obsession! @ rooth - I actually buy a lot of my throws from TK Maxx! Oh and I bought a beautiful Indian throw from Camden Market - it lives on the bottom of my bed.
Deletei sure do! i even have a special blanket i bring out for christmas!
ReplyDeleteBIG TIME BLANKET OBSESSION !!!! These pictures are amazing!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, Meghan, nice to be on your blog, it seams so warm, especially with the blankets story ;) You live in London, so I can understand the blankets, but I live in a more warmer part of Europe, Romania, where is not that windy, but I have the same addiction: once the summer days are over, I intensively use the 2 blankets on my couch and, for example now, I wish I had a blanket in my office as my feet really do froze :D Lovely images! :*
ReplyDeleteLet them laugh, you stick with your blankets. I love them, not only do the look great (if you choose the right blanket), but they're practical too. One of my favourite cafes provides blankets so if it's a bit chilly you can still sit outside in their beautiful setting, but with a blanket over your knee.
ReplyDeletei TOTALLY do. mark knows the way to my heart is a good throw blanket for christmas!
ReplyDeleteand ps thanks for your congrats on wesley!!
ReplyDeleteI have actually been looking for a nice throw for my bed - I have a faux fur one at the moment but I love the look of these thick cable knit ones... sooooo cozy :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Achica has a sale on throws at the moment and there are some really lovely ones on there here: http://www.achica.com/Biederlack
