We had our first real taste of an autumnal morning on Wednesday, and even though I waxed lyrical about being ready for the change… well, turns out I am still a big baby when it comes to the cold. So I am avoiding talking fashion today as I am not sure what side of the fence I want to be on: to be autumnal or not? That is the question! Instead, I’ll stick to something that transcends the temperature – sunglasses! If you have a quick squiz through my moodboards, you will notice that I add a pair of aviators to nearly every outfit I put together. In my opinion, not only do they make you look like a badass, but they go with everything too! I never ever leave the house without them! Happy weekend all!
And… ahem… yes, I think the first picture might well be Lindsey Lohan. Apologies but I like the picture!
I like the crisp and refreshing autumnal mornings - my favourite season! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't leave the house without my sunglasses either. I like that you chose black and white photos. The aviators really are a classic item. Have a wonderful weekend, Meghan!
ReplyDeleteno no no. to autumn, because after the first excitement I have to agree with you, it's just too cold. and no to aviator sunglasses. I always put my sunglasse up on my head when I step into the shade, and with these frames you inevitably end up with a bald spot because they are impossible to untangle from your hair again. so no no no. no matter how cool the look :)
ReplyDeleteI love wearing sunglasses and warm weather too.

Like Petra, my hair always gets tangled up in my shades when I push them up. But I'm down to get more sunnies just to try out different looks, even for the winter time
ReplyDeleteYou've got me thinking I need a pair of these! A couple of years ago I went for the slightly oversized look and perhaps the next time I need a new pair - mine our prescription - this could be the look to consider- hopefully will not be so out of style then :)
ReplyDeleteLol! Petra and Rooth, I totally agree! Aviators are certainly not friendly to your scalp! Most of mine have bits of scalp/hair stuck to the nose pieces but I remain undeterred!
ReplyDeleteMy first Autumn in the UK for 12 years and I'm loving it!!
ReplyDeleteLove all the images. Aviators just never seem to date even after the recent trend of "bug-eye" glasses ;-)
I love the look of aviators but haven't found the right ones for my face yet. Happy weekend Meghan!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 pairs - silver mirrored - very cool & gold LV ... very chic but scared I'll loose them or sit on them!

I was very sad at the thought of "the end of Summer". But now I am slowly getting excited for Fall (my fave...after Summer!)Oh, and Ray Ban aviators are definitely on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteI loved my CK aviators til they broke, and I'm lost without them, and can't seem to find another pair! As for the first pic of LL...too funny...she has screwed up so much...but I still find myself watching her, and ever so slightly fascinated with her fashion sense!

ReplyDeleteThey are so cool. I really love those Olsen twins - not sure which one you've pictured, but they both have cool style. I want a new pair of sunnies for the summer, but the only thing I don't like about my current glasses and aviators is the nose pieces leave marks on the bridge of your nose, especially when it's hot. Do you get that? x
ReplyDeletea good pair of aviators definitely goes a long way - this is a great collection!
ReplyDeletei love this style of sunnies! don't know if they would look right on me but i love the way they look on others.
ReplyDeleteMEEE TOO... I love mine and NEVER leave home without them... badass :)
