I’m not sure about you, but I spend the majority of my time at home in the kitchen. It’s my little sanctuary where I come up with some of my best (and sometimes my worst) ideas. If a house has a dodgy kitchen, I am unlikely to love the rest of it. During my usual weekend internet travels, I came across a kitchen that made me whistle out loud. I just love the hanging pots on the wall, the soft colours and the direct access to the outside. And of course, the rest of the house is equally drool-worthy (chunky floating shelves, distressed timber flooring, abundant natural lighting… need I say more?)

I used to spend most of my time in our kitchen in our last house - it was a huge kitchen with our dining table and a sofa in it, so it was perfect. Unfortunately we have a tiny kitchen now, so it's not really an option any more... The one in the pics looks fantastic, what wouldn't I give to have a kitchen like that... Have a lovely week xo
ReplyDeleteI have to say that the kitchen is what I love the most about the house too. The kitchen should play an important role in every home in my opinion: where the stories over the day are told, where the family gets together, where you can do cooking in two. Plus, the kitchen and bathroom are the two spaces in a house that I notice first. xo

the kitchen is the most important room of a house to me, too. it's the room i get the most envy over when i see beautiful ones, haha. one day when i don't live in nyc i'll find a nice one!
ReplyDeleteI spend a LOT of my time in the kitchen as well. When we were moving, it was an absolute necessity that we have a kitchen with lots of natural light coming through the windows.
ReplyDeleteI would love a kitchen like this one. So light, so spacious.
My favorite element would be the open shelving - I have been drawn to those lately - and I do also love the access to the outdoors and that amazing natural light. Love the lived-in look.
ReplyDeleteStunning images! Would love a bigger kitchen but our apartment is so tiny and our kitchen follows suit...one day!

I am so whistling over these spaces!!! Would love to see your kitchen ........
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of this space and the rawness of the floors! It is so true, we all gravitate towards the kitchen! We spend the most time there!
ReplyDeleteNice!! The kitchen and outdoor pics reminded me of when hubby and I rented an apt in rome (italy) for our europe vaca. Ahhh, memories!!!
ReplyDeleteThese spaces have so much character. ( I actually try to spend the least amount of time possible in the kitchen)
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious of their kitchen - we have left ours til last, as it will need the most money thrown at it! The whole house is very cool - it looks so homely and lived in, yet fabulous. xxx
ReplyDeleteI with you. Love hanging pots and open shelving. Hey thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a great night.
ReplyDeleteI love the white kitchens with weathered wood. So peaceful!

Love the kitchen, especially the materials and the open shelving. Have the say though, my more obsessive side wouldn't cope with the pots on the wall!
ReplyDeletethat would definitely make me whistle too!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing kitchen...love the hanging pots!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Meghan, the kitchen is absolutely drool worthy. The wood floors and the abundance of natural light makes it the perfect place to prepare meals!
