I’ve come to the conclusion that I have never met a Scandinavian house that I didn’t like. I’m drawn to their abundance of light and space and the fact that they are almost certainly built on/near the water. What more could you want? Take a look at this Manor house I stumbled across built on Lake Malaren in Sweden. I can’t decide which aspect I like more… the exterior with its dormer windows and beautiful porch or the interior with its cluttered eclectic furniture and brightly coloured textiles? I think the idyllic setting and fireplaces in almost every room sealed the deal for me!

ReplyDeleteStunning views and idyllic setting. It looks like the perfect place to escape to. I do love the built-in book shelves and the eclectic, lived-in look.

I'm crazy about your house tours! I love this place in Sweden! Especially because it looks like it evolved over time, there is so much to look at. Great gate too.
ReplyDelete...would like to leave a thoughtful comment, but I am too busy picturing myself in this home...
ReplyDeleteAh, for me it's the office/library (yummmm), that goooorgeous dining room (that wallpaper is stunning) and the rooftop terrace. SOLD! When can I move in?
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is a winter wonderland! Love the stockings hung across the bed - so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of having just tons of natural light and white pour into the house. Instant mood-lifter, if you ask me.
