Booted…

Last year the combat boot trend hit London h.a.r.d. I jumped straight on to the bandwagon. Armed with my badass-don’t-mess-with-me-don’t-even-look-at-me-funny boots I felt invincible, I even developed a swagger. And then one evening on my way home from work, my lace of my left boot got caught in the gaping eyelet of my right boot and down I went (we won’t mention the very embarrassing high pitched squeal that managed to frighten a passing cyclist). Right outside of work. At home time. After assessing the damage hidden behind a car, I hobbled back to the train station and spent the rest of my journey sobbing like a drunk hobo with muddy/bloody ripped jeans. Needless to say the offensive boots were tossed to the back of the cupboard never to been seen again… Ok, not quite, I took them out the next week, ripped out the eyelets and resumed my swagger. What can I say? I looooovve my dangerous combat boots. And I have no less than 2 pairs on my Christmas wishlist! What say you to the mighty combat boot? Like or loathe?

I even love them on men…

  2. You make me want to go out and buy some combat boots! Sure, when I was in the Army I wore combat boots ALL the time, but it would be fun/cool to rock some stylish ones! Thanks for the inspiration.

  3. I'm a big fan even though I don't have any yet. I just don't want to look like myself in 8th grade wearing Doc Martins.

  4. Oh, no! That sounds so traumatic! But I'm glad you got your swagger back : ) These photos are fantastic. They make me want to give boots like these a try.

  5. So cute when the outfit is totally girlie. But, I could also see someone feeling unstoppable when wearing them with jeans.

  6. I like them a lot, but they are not really me (except for a few high-heel types). I prefer biker boots. But every time I see a cute pair of combat boots I think about it again!

  8. Oh I absolutely embrace the combat boots!!! In my hay day of going to clubs in my 20s, that is when they were hot .... which is a good thing because we danced all night and they were so comfy. All of your pictures that you posted are very inspiring and now I know what to look for when shopping in L.A. in a couple of weeks. Yay!!! Gonna get myself some boots!! Great post.
