Herringbone Lurve

There is just something about herringbone floors that makes me go weak at the knees. I am not fussy about colour or materials but combine this intricate precise pattern with dark glossy timber floors and put it in a high ceilinged room with arched doorways and I will just about explode with excitement. No jokes. I am that serious about them. I am not sure if I am just overly obsessed or not but I have started to notice that this pattern is cropping up in more than just flooring lately. Chairs covered in rich thick herringbone patterned fabrics, curtains, tasselled throws and my personal favourite – the herringbone or fish braid! (Which btw, is impossible to attempt!)

    I've got herringbone in my living room ;-) It's one of the few things about our rental that I actually love. The place wouldn't be the same without it.

    I'm with you...I get all giddy over a great herringbone floor...just something about that beautiful pattern in wood...In my dream house that I'm going to build when I win the lottery (ha!), I'm going to have these floors. (c: I absolutely adore that picture of the multi-colored bathroom floor, so fun and unexpected!

    i love hardwood floors in general, you would die with some of the 'normal' hardwoods here in Oz

    i plan on having a braid like that once my hair FINALLY grows out.. it's been a year and a slow going process
