They have a cool, relaxed feeling, and that's what a home should be - somewhere that you can be comfortable, but of course, stylish too. xxxVic Bibbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05066270062193356718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7352342636994673520.post-52468970071439233222012-02-16T13:20:21.658+11:002012-02-16T13:20:21.658+11:00I totally agree Meghan, and I love the idea of mis...I totally agree Meghan, and I love the idea of mismatched chairs. I originally chose 8 matching upholstered linen chairs for our dining room and I couldn't believe how boring it all looked. So I've had white slipcovers made for the chairs and introduced 6 oak french cafe style chairs. Now the room has so much more character and interest. I say go for it!Brookehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09910910486587115344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7352342636994673520.post-21612790706703516952012-02-16T10:45:00.813+11:002012-02-16T10:45:00.813+11:00Yes!! to mismatched chairs especially in these pic...Yes!! to mismatched chairs especially in these pictures!! The mismatched chair idea is fabulous. I love the idea. I think it adds a lot of charm and character. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do it b/c we have no room for a full-size table with chairs, but I like to think it's something I'd do when we get a bigger place.Jillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18155881967321563680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7352342636994673520.post-45587611466572236462012-02-15T23:03:29.462+11:002012-02-15T23:03:29.462+11:00i'm probably too anal retentive for the idea, ...i'm probably too anal retentive for the idea, but i like the pictures where something connects the chairs, e.g. they have the same paint on them (the third picture down is an example of it). i think it looks more fluid that way. maybe i could break out of my anal retentive self and have non-matching chairs way one day! progress.colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11086379448385596577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7352342636994673520.post-388585809445996222012-02-15T20:09:41.016+11:002012-02-15T20:09:41.016+11:00I particularly like the dining area with the tabl...I particularly like the dining area with the table by the rustic framed mirror.
