Feeling it…

Our clocks go forward this weekend, the sun has been out for 3 days straight and I am down to 2 layers! Hooray to finally being able to bend my arms and legs properly! I hate to jinx it but dare I say that Spring Has Arrived? Well I just did! Obviously nothing  says spring like the colour yellow, it’s bright, vibrant and fresh – perfect for getting out of the winter daze and fog. I’ve been seeing yellow popping up everywhere at the moment and I am jumping right on this bandwagon. Here’s a little yellow outfit inspiration to get you into the spirit of things.

P.S I’ll be taking a brief blogging hiatus to recharge my batteries and get some much needed time away from the computer screen but I will be back with heaps of inspiration from my holiday!Happy weekend all!

Can’t get you out of my mind…

Ugh. Weeks of stress has finally taken it’s toll and I have woken up this morning with a stuffy head cold, a sore throat and oodles of self-pity. I’m afraid I’m all out of blogging brilliance this morning so I will leave you to ponder an image that I have fallen madly in love with!

What do you think? Could this be your dream kitchen?

Hit the deck!

I blogged about my love of porches here a few weeks ago and the great outdoors have been on my mind ever since. I spent a lot of the weekend with my nose pressed up against the window watching the rain beat down wondering if spring would ever come (all this scene was missing was someone playing the harmonica and a howling dog). It was not all unproductive wallowing though as I did a lot of thinking and boy do I have a lot of plans for my little garden – budget and energy levels permitting of course. My first priority is to inject some colour into the garden and get my little deck looking a little less sad and a lot more inviting. Top of my shopping list is an outdoor carpet, oversized fairy lights and brightly coloured patio cushions. Here’s my inspiration…

My Fair London – Greenwich

On Sunday morning, we headed out to Greenwich before the rain made it’s 20th appearance of the weekend. I have been dying to visit it (if only just for an excuse to use the automated Docklands Light Rail Trains… yes, I know I need to get out more). It’s location is a little far out for us and involved several tube changes but I am so glad we made the special trip as the views into London were worth the trip alone. We took a wonder around the pier, the Naval College, the Maritime Museum and the Royal Observatory. It was a fly-by visit and we didn’t get to see the really good stuff like the market, meridian line or the astronomy centre but we will definitely be back so watch this space!
